Lower Rhine Houseboats

We believe there’s nothing more meditative than watching the waves, and from the expansive terrace at Rhine Houseboats you have the feeling you can wash your busy thoughts away with the water that gently laps against the side of the large wooden houseboat. But this isn’t your standard houseboat, this is a houseboat that you wish was your home: modern interiors, a fireplace and panoramic windows that allow you to spot kingfishers flying past. Plus, in some boats, you even have a private sauna that you can use Finnish style, jumping into the cool lake water after each sauna session.

Alpine Houses

This award-winning pair of architecturally designed houses are simply stunning. While small, the bright, open spaces seem to blend with the stunning mountains surroundings (the houses are at the edge of the Bavarian and Tyrolean Alps), making the houses feel endless. Modern interiors - such as a kitchen complete with Teppan Yaki grill and private saunas - allow you to switch off in nature while being utterly spoilt.

Darß Cabin

We love this bold, modern take on local architecture. The two-storey house was built using local wood, metal, stone and concrete, and blends into the small fishing village of Wieck, located on the underrated Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula. The open-plan living space has an enticing kitchen and a cosy fireplace, while upstairs you find a large bathroom complete with a sauna.

The minimalist interiors with pops of colour and wood-burning fires are the perfect place to curl up in after a long day exploring the rugged North Frisian island of Föhr.
